2014 GRADUATION WITH ORPHANAGES - THREE NEW RESIDENTS FOR JEREMIAH HOUSE

JEREMIAH HOUSE
WILL
RECEIVE
THREE NEW
YOUTH
(Waiting for Government Papers)

Although youth graduate at grade 9 from the orphanages - they still have two more possible years of education if there is help and support for them to join in an education program or school.  Some youth go straight to a technical school - and for orphans this is usually not a good place.  Co-ed dorms, little supervision and lack of Life Skills to understand how to manage this new "freedom."

Jeremiah House is a pilot - a model to demonstrate another way of helping - working with youth to help them make good decisions, learn Life Skills and to complete education that will potentially offer them more opportunities than without.

We are following all the grade 8 and 9 students from several orphanages - two state orphanages and several non-government ones.  With these over 100 students, we know we cannot help them all with residential services - but we can offer them encouragement, Life Skills and mentoring if they will be willing.

Jeremiah Project is one step in the right direction - and we pray there will be other NGO's that will follow suit and create the same type of services and resources for graduating orphans.  We   - together can make a difference one youth at a time!

And these youth are so very young.  Two 15 year olds and one 16 year old.

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SPONSORSHIP TO JEREMIAH PROJECT!
